Abstract
Photoproduction of the Xi-(1320) in the reaction of gamma p --> K+ K+ (X) has been investigated using the new large statistics CLAS data. The two positive kaons are detected in CLAS, and the Xi- is identified from the missing mass. The differential and total cross sections for the Xi-(1320) have been determined for the photon beam energy from 2.75 GeV to 4.75 GeV, consistent with a possible production mechanism of Y*--> K+Xi- through t-channel process. The reaction of gamma p --> K+ K+ pi-Xi0 has also been investigated in search of excited cascade resonances. No substantial signal of excited cascade states other than the Xi-(1530) is observed. The cross section results of the Xi-(1530) have also been obtained.
